Front Desk Associate - Employment Services

Position Purpose:  
As a Front Desk Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting job seekers on their journey to sustainable employment. You will be responsible for welcoming clients to our offices, providing administrative support, supporting their online job search and basic resume building, as well as connecting clients with valuable resources and services in our community.

  • You are a strong problem solver, and you enjoy thinking outside the box to meet clients’ needs.
  • You are extremely organized and meticulous. You might color code your pencils at home. 
  • You have a natural ability to start a conversation with anyone and enjoy spending time with people.
  • You are an excellent multi-tasker, and like having more than one Internet tab open at once.
  • You have strong technological literacy, and you enjoy supporting others who struggle with basic computer tasks.
  • You believe that access to meaningful employment can be life changing.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • The Front Desk Associate is a multi-tasking maestro with a passion for helping clients with a wide range of employment needs. This staff member is the face of KES, ensuring our clients feel welcome and supported when they walk into our office.
  • Assist clients with resume writing, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
  • Support clients to navigate government supports and online resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the centre.
 
Requirements:
  • Experience providing friendly and helpful customer service to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with local job market trends, community resources, and government programs as well as basic job search strategies is an asset, however on the job training is also provided.
  • Respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Comfortable using computers, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Compensation
