Employment Services - Case Manager

Description

Position Purpose: The Case Manager is an integral part of our employment services team that works to assist our clients in finding sustainable employment. Your main goal is to develop positive relationships with your clients, encouraging, motivating, and supporting them in their journey. You will teach your clients skills to increase their independence and self-sufficiency in their job search. You will oversee the clients’ journey through services, and ensure all required documentation is recorded.

  • You have strong technological literacy and are familiar with the administrative work necessary in client support roles.

 Key responsibilities:
  • Meet with clients one on one to assess their employment needs, set goals, and build an action plan.
  • Provide individualized job search support including resume building, navigating job search engines, interviews prep, employer contacts, and job matching.
  • Document and ensure administrative work for client files are up to date.
  • Work with local Community Partners to connect clients with supports beyond WorkBC.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the centre.

Requirements:
  • Experience in client support in employment services or a related social service field required. Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education, or human resources management) will be viewed as an asset.
  • Familiarity with local job market trends, community resources, and government programs as well as basic job search strategies is an asset, however on the job training is also provided.
  • Respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Compensation

$28.50 - $30.64 per hour
